Privacy Policy

What we collect
We collect the minimum necessary to operate the service:
- Email address — used for sign-in code authentication. We do not send marketing emails.
- IP address — stored temporarily for anonymous publishes to enforce rate limits. Cleared when a publish is claimed or expires.
- Uploaded files — the markdown you publish is stored and served publicly at the URL you are given.
What we do not collect
- We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising.
- We do not run analytics scripts on article pages.
- We do not sell or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
How we use your data
- Email addresses are used solely for authentication via sign-in codes.
- IP addresses are used only for rate limiting anonymous publishes and are discarded after claiming or expiration.
- Uploaded markdown is stored and served at the assigned URL.
Third-party services
We use third-party services for infrastructure, hosting, and email delivery. These services process data on our behalf and are governed by their own privacy policies.
Data retention
- Anonymous publishes are automatically deleted after 24 hours if unclaimed.
- Claimed and authenticated articles persist until the owner deletes them.
- When you delete your article, all associated files are permanently removed from storage.
Your articles are public
Everything you publish to leafmill.net is served at a public URL. URLs are randomly generated and non-guessable, so your article is effectively private unless you share the link.
Changes
We may update this policy. Changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
